Thanks for your test.

As we discussed in Dublin, the SATA works at IDE compatible mode now,
but it is a sata controller and should wok at ahci mode as reported in LP 
737388.
So I suggested that you can try to upgrade the BIOS to see if newer version can 
support
to change to AHCI mode.

Another thing, I would like to figure out how to support IDE mode if you are 
sure
that upstream kernel(such as 3.0-rc5) can support the DVD drive.
