Owning the same device I can tell you that there is at least one workaround, though not persistent:
- Go to Sound Preferences, Output tab and select Analog Headphones - Run alsamixer, unmute Front (m key) and make it 100% (pageup). Exit alsamixer (esc) Plug and unplug the jack and it should be working now. Unfortunately, this is not persistent as I mentioned, every time pulseaudio quits (on logout or when it crashes), you'll have to unmute Front again. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/707400 Title: Sound Asus K70IJ Laptop 10.10 No Output from Headphone Plug To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/707400/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
