Thanks for your report. It appears that your volume is turned down below 50% or muted entirely. Please check that the volume level is set to a reasonable amount. You can do so by clicking the speaker icon in the top right hand corner of your screen, and adjusting the volume control found in the drop-down menu. Also check that you have the rigt output connector selected. From the same drop-down menu, choose "Sound Preferences...". Once a new window opens, go to the "Output" tab, and choose the appropriate connector from the "Connector" drop-down box.
If none of the above helps, you can try updating the audio drivers, as explained here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules. Please keep us informed. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/808353 Title: [G41D3C, VIA VT1708BCE, Green Headphone Out, Front] No sound at all To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/808353/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
