** Description changed: It seems that after scanning with xsane it leaves the printer in an odd state that requires a printer reset to get scanning working again. After thorough testing I am sure, that scanning from Ubuntu Linux 10.04.2LTS with hp-scan or xsane only works once and then the printer needs to be reset/power cycled. Even trying to scan with another machine/OS like Windoze doesn't work anymore until the printer is reset. This bug was previously submitted at the SANE project site, but after their analysis they concluded that they do not produce the hpaio backend. It is part of the hplip project and I should ask here.
