I hope everyone who knew new kernels revisions don't come in updates or backports will have a real bad dinner tonight as punishment for not telling me this two months ago.
So let me tell myself: You should download .deb packages manually or enable lucid-proposed to force a backport. Anyway, it doesn't work for me. I installed 2.6.38-10. The bug is gone, but so is the suspend capability. Now it just goes to the purple Ubuntu boot screen and hangs there indefinitely. Back to 2.6.32 for me. I am not sure this ACPI support is 'fixed' since it breaks functionality that was working with the *unsupported ACPI detected* to begin with. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/552880 Title: thinkpad edge - detected unsupported model To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/null/+bug/552880/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
