Public bug reported: Because downloads of the daily updates were taking an unusually long time (possibly a server-side issue?), I clicked open the download details in update manager and witnessed the download counter for the sun-java6-bin package rolling backwards. The total package size was reported as 28.7 MB, and I saw in sequence:
'Downloaded 25.1 MB of 28.7 MB' 'Dowloaded 24.8 MB of 28.7 MB' 'Downloaded 33.1 MB of 28.7 MB' 'Downloaded 33.4 [...]' 'Downloaded 33.5 [...]' 'Downloaded 33.6 [...]' 'Downloaded 33.5 [...]' 'Downloaded 33.1 [...]' The package did finally download successfully. A look in /var/cache/apt/archives shows that the actual downloaded file size is 28.7MB.
