Lennart, OK. Which upgrade method did you use? Was it following the instructions from here http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/upgrading , or did you upgrade manually with something like: sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
If you did the latter then that would explain why there are no logs in /var/log/dist-upgrade.
