Thank you for your quick response and your kind tone.

Unfortunally, I cannot share that particular document for
confidentiality reasons (I am under a contract).

However, I can do the next best thing: I can describe the process with
which it was created and then the contents, and hopefully that will make
it easier to solve.

The document in question was created with Microsoft Word (.doc) and sent
to me via email. I opened the document in LibreOffice, saved it as .odt
and went to work on it. During that process, I added headers and made
all the body of the text the same format, plus I added a table of
contents. When I was done and had saved the document several times, I
tried to save it as .doc, so that I could send it back to my employer.
Every time I tried, it asked me if I wanted to save it as .odt, as some
formatting would be lost otherwise. I chose to continue the process, and
then LibreOffice crashed. Subsequent tries to save it as .doc also
failed. Fortunally, LibreOffice could recreate the document each time.

I have later tried to make the same thing happen with other documents,
and failed, so it possible that there was something wrong with that
particular document. I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance./Lennart
