Works for ethernet and wifi. nm-tools shows an active connection. Ubuntu is very erratic at mode switching the Micromax 310g usb dongle: it sometimes mounts it as a cd-drive instead of usb-storage<and hence buggy mode switching> but I am unable to consistently reproduce this behavior. Anyhow when the dongle does work Checkbox consistently fails to detect the internet connection. Maybe I will look at the internet_test script and figure out how checkbox gets that idea if I get some free time. If you need more info or want me to try out something just ask.
