I have a similar problem with my Acer Aspire One AO722. When the
battery is charging, it never goes from "calculating" to an actual
calculation for when it will be done. If I run cat
/proc/acpi/battery/BAT1/state I get:

present: yes
capacity state: ok
charging state: charging
present rate: 0 mA
remaining capacity: 2846 mAh
present voltage: 11952 mV

Note that it stays at 0mA charging all the time. Eventually it finishes
charging then changes to charged. But the present rate never changes
from 0mA.
