Thanks, I have changed the grub file using one set of "" to replace ' ' in GRUB_DISTRIBUTOR="lsb_release -i -s 2> /dev/null || echo Debian"
Rebooted and installed Zoho. Still got the message which seems related to the grub line I added with an earlier Ubuntu i915.modeset=1 This was because on my HP G62 laptop the screen blanked at start up and this fixed it. I'm reluctant to remove it just now in case it does the same as I have some pressing work to do. I have attached a text file with the out put from sudo undate-grub, the new grub file itself and the output from installing a program that invokes the error message. Hope this helps. ** Attachment added: "Grub file and other info to help isolate the bug" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/774084/+attachment/2236101/+files/Bug%20774084 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/774084 Title: package linux-image-2.6.38-8-generic 2.6.38-8.42 failed to install/upgrade: ErrorMessage: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub2/+bug/774084/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
