Public bug reported: When running the Natty installer on my computer (with option replace existing operating systems), I get the message "installer crashed" during the installation (after querying my time zone and keyboard, while copying files, I think). It asked me to include my syslog and partman files, which I will attach to this report. After clicking "close" on the installer crash message, I get another message saying that an unrecoverable error was encountered, and that a desktop session would be launched for debugging/reinstall. However, there seems to be something wrong with the screen refresh in that session, making it pretty much unusable. I could determine that a popup window with title "Open Location" was spawned, but I could not see the text in the window. In the end, I copied the syslog and partman files off the machine via the network.
