Hello!

Today I have encountered the same problem on a virtual machine with
Ubuntu 11.04 used in VMware Player. The error started after I deleted
some gnome applications(games) because of no space on disk. The only
solution for solving the problem was sudo chmod 777 /tmp/. The other
solutions have no effect.
