I could not replicate this bug. I followed the instructions on
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CompositeManager/CompizFusion.  I
Tried the following: (1) Keyboard shortcut Alt-F2. (2) Enter the command
'compiz --replace'.  (3) Wait.  The window manager updated without
problem.   Tried 'gtk-window-decorator --replace' from within a
terminal;  successfully.

Running Ubuntu 11.10 alpha 3, installed by upgrading from 11.04.

Linux ceshannon 3.0.0-7-generic #9-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jul 29 21:27:24 UTC 2011 
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
