Hans-Jürgen, your work in this area is very welcome. Just be prepared to encounter some hesitations because this is old soft- and hardware. I am absolutely with you in trying to maintain support for older hardware. * consider taking over the upstream source, you're not getting this back into Debian without an active upstream * talk to Tormod about getting this into the xserver-xorg-video-savage package in Debian * make the upstream source for the xserver-xorg-video-savage package the new upstream home Thank you for your work.
