This may be due to a kernel problem as discussed in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- nettool/+question/165390, but this is not a kernel bug report (it contains no information about your kernel and is not really written as a bug report at all, and it does not conform to the guidelines at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs). It seems that perhaps you converted your original question to a bug to create this bug report; while that is sometimes appropriate, your original question did not contain the necessary information to be a bug report, so that was not a good way of going about things in this case.
So I am marking this bug as Invalid. (This does not mean that this problem is not really caused by a bug, but rather that it will be best handled in a different form--either in the already existing question, or in a new bug report filed with ubuntu-bug against linux in Ubuntu and containing all the necessary information to make it possible for a developer to work on the problem. See http://blog.launchpad.net/general /of-bugs-and-statuses for an explanation of the Invalid bug status.) You may want to post the new information you've posted here at https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- nettool/+question/165390. If the problem you are experiencing is a segmentation fault in some program, then it is probably not a kernel bug at all. Let's continue discussing this in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome- nettool/+question/165390, where the discussion began originally. If you believe a segmentation fault is involved, please explain why you suspect this. Your question currently has Expired status, but you can reopen the question by posting and clicking the button indicating that you are still having a problem. ** Changed in: gnome-nettool (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821442 Title: Nokia CS-18 segfaults after working previously To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-nettool/+bug/821442/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
