Public bug reported: I have a lenovo y460p laptop with core i7 2630QM and 8 GB ram. Sometimes ubuntu recognizes the cpu with only one core. This results in extreme heating. Restart does not always fixes the issue. Normally, as the processor has 8 threads, 2 threads per core, 8 cores are recognized by Ubuntu.
Plus switchable graphics do not work, even though the processor has graphics processor.
