Just as a note, this is a problem with the applet not displaying properly, not the network manager not being able to connect. For me at least, I can still connect to my wireless internet by entering the connection manually (used my information from my Natty install).
applet->Edit Connections->Wireless (Tab)->Add (Button). The applet still doesn't list the connections at all (or its icon), but it's connected and I have wireless internet now in Oneiric. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/819617 Title: network manager doesn't work in fallback mode To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager-applet/+bug/819617/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
