I found this bug report via Google and can report similar issues on powerpc64 lucid. I have attached my log file from /var/cache/modass.
As above, I ran the commands: sudo module-assistant prepare openafs-modules sudo module-assistant auto-build openafs-modules And received an error. Of course, I ran these commands after seeing: aklog: unable to obtain tokens for cell athena.mit.edu (status: 11862788). and: $ sudo /etc/init.d/openafs-client restart Stopping AFS services:. Starting AFS services: AFS module /lib/modules/2.6.32-21-powerpc64-smp/fs/openafs.o does not exist. Not starting AFS. Please consider building kernel modules using instructions in /usr/share/doc/openafs-client/README.modules ** Attachment added: "openafs-modules-source.buildlog.2.6.32-21-powerpc64-smp.1312821412" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openafs/+bug/189748/+attachment/2262131/+files/openafs-modules-source.buildlog.2.6.32-21-powerpc64-smp.1312821412 -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/189748 Title: openafs-modules fail to build on hardy powerpc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/openafs/+bug/189748/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
