I've found that using alt-tab when the screen blanks causes it to appear
again

** Tags added: apport-collected natty running-unity

** Description changed:

Since upgrading to 11.04, the screen size is no longer correctly determined
on boot and the screen may go black after running for a while. Latter can be
corrected by ctrl-alt-del, former by repeatedly logging off and on until the
correct screen size is determined. No such problem with 10 or before.
P.S GRUB gets the screen size correct.
My PC is a Toshiba Satellite A300
