The problem occurs when I boot the machine with two monitors connected to it. I can log into Unity, and then when I try to launch an xterm, one of two things happens: I get kicked back out to the login screen or else my machine hard-locks completely. The mouse pointer still moves, but I can't click on anything and I can't switch to any console (e.g. Ctrl-Alt-F1).
So now I have a better idea of how to exactly reproduce this on this machine. But there's no issue if I boot it with only one monitor attached. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/821205 Title: machine hard-locks when using two monitors To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/821205/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
