Notice that your sound hardware has been allocated no resources (as
evidenced by your /proc/interrupts contents). This means that the sound
driver, snd_via82xx, cannot function properly and thus you have "no
sound."

Did you try my recommendation from #ubuntu/Freenode to disable all
unused devices in BIOS?

Have you tried booting with "acpi=off" and/or "noapic"?
