Thank you Chase, I've got great progress with stock evdev. Gestures now work, 
but they do not work very well. I'll try to describe: there are often 'lags' 
when I zoom and scroll, e.g. for vertical scrolling in browser the focus goes 
up and down several times even when I release fingers. Wrong gestures are 
detected very often (e.g. in EOG when I try to scroll the picture it rotates in 
random direction). 
Another issue is I lose the ability to left-click (until X restart) after I use 
the very first two-finger gesture - the pointer stops following touch (but I 
still see events in evtest and other utils). Geistest falls with error "Maximum 
number of clients reached" right after the first touch after starting.
