Thank you Chase, I've got great progress with stock evdev. Gestures now work, but they do not work very well. I'll try to describe: there are often 'lags' when I zoom and scroll, e.g. for vertical scrolling in browser the focus goes up and down several times even when I release fingers. Wrong gestures are detected very often (e.g. in EOG when I try to scroll the picture it rotates in random direction). Another issue is I lose the ability to left-click (until X restart) after I use the very first two-finger gesture - the pointer stops following touch (but I still see events in evtest and other utils). Geistest falls with error "Maximum number of clients reached" right after the first touch after starting.
