Just for the info, a solution (though not very standard) has been found for this issue in the Ubuntu Forums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11138693
To summarize, the issue was being caused by the inexistant folder /usr/lib/perl/5.10.1/asm. So we copied over that folder from a clean installation to the system with the problem, and that did the trick. There's also an attached file in that post if you don't have access to a clean installation. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/778019 Title: Unable to run apt-get update via apt-cacher To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apt-cacher/+bug/778019/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
