Hi Evgeni, I can not figure out to much use cases where someone wants to install this module without permanently using it. Further more I can't remember having read a warning. (It has been a long time since then. So maybe I just forgot about it)
Anyway: if you really feel it's necessary to warn users about the possibility of hardware damages, here a few suggestions to do so while still improving the usability: - Show the warning and a question if tp_smapi should be loaded permanently using the dpkg capabilities to configure packages after installation - Put both, the warning and the module, as comment in /etc/modules. - Add the warning to the package description. cheers Rechner-Tester -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/669223 Title: tp-smapi-dkms: tp_smapi not loaded at boot To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/tp-smapi/+bug/669223/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
