Hi Carla, I see your problem now.
You may think the banshee player will be opened automatically if the mp4 player is plugged into usb port. In fact, for ubuntu linux package, the mp4 player is just a simple usb mass storage device, so you can see files in shell or file manager. And it is not a problem inside "linux" package. Also maybe ubuntu is not so intelligent to search and identify your music files and run music player to play it.
