** Description changed:

  I have installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my machine( ASUS motherboard,Intel core 2 
duo). It has VIA 1708 HD Audio chipset. Sound is not working when i login in 
Ubuntu. Same is working when I logined through Windows XP.
  I have tried many suggestion on forums.
  sudo modprobe snd-hda-intel , command is working..means snd-hda-intel driver 
is there in package...
  Please let me know how to resolve this issue.
