Thanks for that. The problem did not occur through edits. It occurred when smuxi failed to work after it had crashed, and I tried to re- install using the software centre app. Several errors including the reported one occurred, and this bug report is the result of trying to report a problem. Firefox crashed midway through the report! I can't throw any more light on what originally happened. After doing the re- install you suggested, I can now use smuxi again. Regards, Barry.
