Hi, I am a newbie to ubuntu. I am experiencing the same problem as specified in this bug. Can somebody please tell me how to ¨unmute and raise Capture and possibly Capture Mux.¨ Is this to be done though some command or is it through the ¨sound preferences¨? I could not find a way in the ¨sound preferences" to unmute. I can see the Capture and Capture Mux in the device list and both are selected. Still I get the same error message. I have ubuntu 7.04 on my Inspiron 6400 laptop. All other sound tests in that works.
