Active torrent files get cached into the "active" part of RAM that clogs up the system as it can't be overwritten by other programs demanding memory. This also happens with Deluge. They should instead be cached into "standby" memory that yields itself when a higher priority program like a browser or game needs that memory. This is how uTorrent operates.
