Public bug reported: This is another in my series on issues with this laptop model's hardware. Other bugs with this laptop include: bug #771716, bug #791900, bug #791904, bug #791898 and bug #816231
Actually, I have to say, I've been surprised at how many hardware bugs I've run into. I've had rather good luck with linux in general and ubuntu in particular on laptops in the past few years. Anyway. Title says it all. Plug in an external monitor and nothing happens, apart from the external monitor complaining about no signal. Don't have an HDMI connector yet, so I wasn't able to test that. Nothing under dmesg, "detect" under gnome display properties does nothing. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/835740 Title: Sony VPC-F11 (VPCF11GGX) External monitor unrecognised over VGA To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/835740/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
