Public bug reported: Adding an extension via Thunderbird's extension manager (e.g. Enigmail) breaks or can be broken by installing the same plugin via apt-get/dpkg. If Thunderbird is going to be the default mail client in Oneiric, some sort of workaround (disabling the extension manager?) should be considered, to avoid having users break Thunderbird or, worse, break OS upgrades.
