My /home is on the local harddisk. I just have an NFS share mounted in
/mnt/ which blocks pm-suspend.

I confirm the findings of Chris: the NetworkManager disconnects too
early. If suspend has been blocked I am always able to login and enter
"sudo service network-manager restart". Then sleep continues
successfully and also resume works as expected!

Adding "umount /mnt/my-nfs-share" to the scripts in usr/lib/pm-
utils/sleep.d/ works but does not solve the blocking. I guess
Networkmanager gets detached via dbus before these scripts are executed.
