It's back in feisty, in 0.12.16. Upstream is ok, but a debian patch adds the "set -e" (beagle-0.2.16.3/debian/patches/beagle-crawl-safely.dpatch in http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/main/b/beagle/beagle_0.2.16.3-3.diff.gz)
