7.04 DVD ISO version have the same problem on my ACER 5595i laptop. My laptop
video chipset is ATI mobile radeon X1600,
when I boot in 7.04 livecd, xserver told can't found screen. Neither did the
safe graphics mode. So I can't use livecd feature of
7.04 on my laptop. That's not good for uses, how can I install 7.04 now?

By the way, if I dist upgrade from 6.10 edgy to 7.04 , can I? In 6.10
enviroment, ATI native driver xorg-driver-fglrx is used, but
I fear that the configuration data will be lost after upgrade.
