I still get the problem on a Dell Optiplex 380 (as reported in May). The freeze occurs with the latest Ubuntu Natty Linux kernel after gdm login when Unity seems to start. Once the freeze occurs, I reboot the machine until it doesn't freeze. Once I get the desktop I can use it for a long time (a whole week) without any crashes/freezes: I use this PC at work and uses hibernate during lunch time and the night, and usually completely shutdown only on friday. No freeze when going out of hibernate.
