Stefano, it's a Won't Fix from our end at least. emesene 2 requires python-papyon >= 0.5.5, which also requires an update of empathy and with that probably every telepathy library. I'm not sure, but if even more messenger clients/programs rely on the libraries empathy relies on, those would probably have to be updated too, so it would be a giant mess. I don't think an SRU is possible.
