** Description changed: I have Oneiric and Natty installed to my computer. In Natty and Maverick, i never had issues with wireless, even when I was using the prerelease versions (I suppose that's because they were more or less the same components between those two distros) But in my new Oneiric install I am getting many show stopping wireless issues. I'll detail them in the order I encountered them: First, when I'm at home, I typically use a Droid X mobile wifi hotspot functionality to connect to the internet. I have input the correct pass word and made sure all the settings are the same as in my Natty install, but all that happens is the indicator endlessly shows it's trying to connect and occasionally a pop up shows asking for the password. I still have yet to get it to connect to the phone's hotspot. Next, When I am connected to a regular router, sometimes, the connection will begin acting up and slow down to nothing with VERY occasional spikes of activity. Making it impossible to do anything online. The only thing I've found to fix it is plugging into an ethernet cable for some reason. When i first tried to fix the above, i toggle the hardware switch for my wifi and when I managed to get it back on, the NM-Applet would just say "Device Not Ready" (But if I toggle Airplane Mode in the System Settings network pane, it will connect in the slow manner described above. Finally, there was an instance where I simply couldn't connect to ANY password protected wireless at all (it would do what it does with the DroidX hotspot and endlessly try to connect.
