Yup, I quite agree.  The fact that this continues to be on the "too hard" list 
may be one of the reasons that Thunderbird is apparently the default email 
client Ubuntu 11.10.
The nuisance part of that is that all my calendar, contacts, and so on and so 
forth would need migrating if I opted to go the Thunderbird way.  Let alone 
what happens to syncing contacts via Ubuntu One.
Given my 'druthers, I'druther stay with Evolution, so I guess I'll still be 
saving pictures the hard way, or by forwarding them to my webmail.  Either way 
is not really 21st Century.
