It seems to be a regression that came with an update yesterday (Sep 7th). I'm testing oneiric on a fresh laptop install, so I do an apt-get upgrade every few hours at the moment. First I thought I might have broken it myself because I was fiddling with thinkpad_acpi and tpfanco yesterday. Suddenly the KDE/plasma battery applet icon started showing a red cross and saying "AC Adapter not plugged in". But reverting to my previous settings didn't help and today I discovered this fresh bug.
BTW: acpi-nodes in /proc seem to be correct and deliver sane data. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/844793 Title: Couldn't enumerate devices: Message did not receive a reply (timeout by message bus) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/upower/+bug/844793/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
