Public bug reported:

( I do know the package, it's vmware-server but launchpad would not let
me enter that )

I do not have an eth0 on my machine ( only eth1 and ath0 ) when I try to
install vmware-server I get this output /error:

Do you want networking for your virtual machines? (yes/no/help) [yes]

Configuring a bridged network for vmnet0.

Your computer has multiple ethernet network interfaces available: ath0, eth1.
Which one do you want to bridge to vmnet0? [eth0]

The ethernet device "eth0" was not detected on your system. Available ethernet
devices detected on your system include ath0, eth1. Are you sure you want to
use this device? (yes/no) [no]

Invalid default answer!
Execution aborted.

The error is in the script /usr/bin/vmware-config-network.pl which I can
run successfully from the terminal but fails in apt because it is not
interactive ( I cannot tell it to use eth1 instead of eth0 ). I
successfully installed vmware in apt by replacing all instances of
"eth0" in /usr/bin/vmware-config-network.pl with "eth1" but it seems
that this script should be made interactive even if the questions are
given a low priority so that problems like this can be solved without
editing the script and so preferences can easily be changed with dpkg-
reconfigure.
