After upgrading I get these "links list" crashes on a fairly regular
basis, though it is random when they will appear, even doing the same
mplayer command several times. My first thought with an error like this
would be faulty hardware (RAM, CPU, etc.), but I did not ever get any of
these errors prior to upgrading to Feisty Fawn with several different
versions of MPlayer.

I have tried compiling my own MPlayer .deb package from Subversion
source code, but it crashes the same as the "apt-get install" version.

I noticed that GLIBC was updated when going to Feisty Fawn, so
presumably there is a bug in GLIBC, or else in the way MPlayer uses
GLIBC, I'm not sure. I haven't seen this error from any other apps as
of yet, though.

** Affects: mplayer (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
