I am unable to verify this, because kernel 3.0 is extremely unstable on my ubuntu+1 host and it seems to be going from bad to worse with each new kernel package uploaded to Oneiric. Since the kernel only manages to remain on for a very short amount of time, I am unable to launch "ubuntu-bug linux" because a kernel vm paging bug makes every application that gets launched (including Firefox, which is needed to complete the bug report) crash, which further fills up /var/crash with tons of Apport reports ready to send. Instructions on how to circumvent this issue and successfully file a bug report about those VM paging issues using "ubuntu-bug linux" would be extremely welcome, so that I can return to providing more info on this ALSA issue later.
