As a workaround you can use external USB mouse and disable the touchpad (and 
the trackstick) in 
BIOS Settings
– POST Behavior
– – Mouse/Touchpad, by selecting "Serial Mouse". 

To enter BIOS Setup you might have to keep F12 pressed down...
