hi people, yesterday I found the new Nvidia-driver working with this new Kernel 2.6.38-11.
So I installed it, but jockey still gives this wrong output with "driver activated but not in use. Then today I did the system-update with the package ubuntu-x-swat and now my Terminal reports this: Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 270.41.06, but this NVIDIA driver component has version 280.13. Please make sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components have the same version. The complete output is this: mietzi@Mintlatop ~$ /usr/lib/nux/unity_support_test -p Error: API mismatch: the NVIDIA kernel module has version 270.41.06, but this NVIDIA driver component has version 280.13. Please make sure that the kernel module and all NVIDIA driver components have the same version. OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation OpenGL renderer string: GeForce 8200M G/PCI/SSE2 OpenGL version string: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 270.41.06 Not software rendered: yes Not blacklisted: yes GLX fbconfig: yes GLX texture from pixmap: yes GL npot or rect textures: yes GL vertex program: yes GL fragment program: yes GL vertex buffer object: yes GL framebuffer object: yes GL version is 1.4+: yes Unity supported: yes mietzi@Mintlaptop ~ $ so my questions would be: how to fix this and how to get this jockey- issue fixed??
