interestingly, suspend and hibernate just disappeared from my shutdown options. I tested hibernate one more time after posting this bug and I didn't catch what exactly happened when it came backup, but it automatically restarted the PC. After coming up with a fresh session (my suspend data must have been lost) I looked to test it again and now the hibernate and suspend options are missing from my shutdown menu. I also cannot select them under my power options menu because they are grayed out.
