Thank you for requesting this backport. I have moved this bug to the lucid-backports project. However, due to the rules of backports, we must allow for upgrades to not introduce regressions, so to backport this to Lucid, it would have to be backported to maverick and natty as well until maverick goes EOL. The general rule for a backport is that it builds, installs, and runs on the intended release(s). Have you done any testing to this effect?
