Issue resolved. Simply install and run pavucontrol, go to Configuration tab, set GF108 High Definition Audio Controller to Off and ensure that Internal Audio is set to Analog Stereo Duplex. Revert to HDMI settings for GF108 on HDMI connect and back to Off on disconnect. There should be a way to do this automatically, but I'm not sure what that way is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
