Public bug reported: Binary package hint: lyx
When LyX crashes, it leaves files ~/.lyx/lyxpipe.* in the user's directory. These files break LyX's 'lyxpipe' functionality until the user deletes the dead files manually, which means that inserting bibliographic references (for example, using Jabref) is broken (and silently -- LyX doesn't explain the reason for the problem). One thing that could be done to improve this situation would be for the .lyx/lyxpipe.* files to be removed when the user ends their GNOME session (and when there are no running lyx processes in other sessions). Perhaps this is something that could be easily added in the packaging of LyX on Ubuntu? Cheers JP ** Affects: lyx (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- could ~/.lyx/lyxpipe* files be cleaned at logout? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112982 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
