Same problem, and sudo apt-get install python-pyatspi2 worked for me as well.
This bug would be highly important because is preventing people from upgrading to Oneiric. I found disappointing that the upgrade was not fully unattended. An msttcorefonts dialog appeared near the beginning (not near enough to catch me in front of the screen), and also an network configuration dialog appeared several minutes after the first one.
